Privacy policy

Effective August 28, 2026

HelloGidiCentral respects your privacy. This policy explains how our Ontario-based food and beverage business collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you visit our website, contact us, or place an order for HelloGidiCentral food or Zentra beverages.

1. Accountability and contact

HelloGidiCentral is responsible for personal information under its control. Our Privacy Officer handles privacy questions, access requests and complaints.

Contact: Hellogidicentral@gmail.com or 647-675-0517. Please write “Privacy” in the subject line of an email.

2. Personal information we collect

We collect information that you provide directly, information needed to operate the website, and limited information generated when you use it.

  • Orders and fulfilment: name, email address, phone number, order contents, pickup time, delivery address, unit number, delivery instructions and other information you choose to provide.
  • Contact requests: name, email address, optional phone number, message and any information included in that message.
  • Transactions: order totals, payment status and transaction references. When online payment is enabled, the payment provider collects payment-card details directly; HelloGidiCentral does not need to receive the full card number.
  • Website and device information: IP address, browser or device type, requested pages, timestamps, referring page, and diagnostic, security or error information recorded by our hosting providers.
  • Shopping cart: selected products, options and quantities saved in local storage on your device so the cart remains available between pages or visits.

Please do not include sensitive health information in order notes or contact messages. If you need to discuss an allergy or dietary restriction, contact us directly and provide only the information reasonably needed to answer your question.

3. How we use personal information

We use personal information for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances, including to:

  • prepare, confirm, provide, deliver and support orders;
  • communicate about pickup, delivery, substitutions, delays, refunds or customer-service requests;
  • respond to questions about catering, menu items, Zentra products or the business;
  • process or reconcile payments and maintain business, tax and accounting records;
  • operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website and prevent fraud or misuse;
  • send promotional email or text messages only where we have the consent or other lawful basis required to do so; and
  • comply with legal obligations and protect our customers, business and legal rights.

4. Consent and choices

We obtain consent in a form appropriate to the information and purpose. When information is necessary to provide an order or answer a request, choosing not to provide it may mean we cannot complete that service.

You may withdraw consent to an optional use at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed on a valid basis.

5. When we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose only the information reasonably required to:

  • hosting, cloud, security and website-support providers that operate the website;
  • Google Forms, which currently receives messages submitted through our contact form;
  • payment, ordering, delivery or communications providers used to complete a transaction or requested service;
  • professional advisers such as accountants, insurers or legal counsel;
  • a buyer or successor in a proposed or completed business transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements; or
  • government, regulators, law enforcement or other parties when required or permitted by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect safety, prevent fraud or enforce our rights.

Some providers may process information outside Ontario or Canada. In that case, the information may be subject to the laws and lawful-access rules of the jurisdiction where it is processed.

6. Cookies and local storage

The website uses local storage to remember your cart. Our hosting and security providers may use cookies or similar technology that are necessary to deliver pages, balance traffic, prevent abuse and maintain security. We do not currently place separate third-party advertising cookies on the website.

You can clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Clearing local storage will remove the cart saved on that device.

7. Marketing communications

Order confirmations and service messages are sent as part of your transaction or request. Promotional emails or texts will be sent only where permitted by law. You may unsubscribe using the method provided in the message or by contacting us. We may retain limited suppression information so we can respect an unsubscribe request.

8. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including completing orders, responding to disputes, maintaining required tax and accounting records, demonstrating consent, preventing fraud and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. When information is no longer required, we delete, destroy or anonymize it using reasonable methods.

9. Safeguards

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, and limit access to people and providers who need it for an authorized purpose. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

10. Access and correction

You may request access to personal information we hold about you, ask how it has been used or disclosed, and request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Access may be limited where permitted or required by law, including where disclosure would reveal another person’s information.

You may also raise a concern about our privacy practices with our Privacy Officer. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable time. If a concern is not resolved, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or another regulator with jurisdiction.

11. Children

The website is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect personal information from children. A parent or legal guardian should place an order for a minor. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices, providers or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top shows when the current version took effect. We will provide additional notice if a change is material or requires new consent.
